Ok, well one sunny, hot sweaty day Ryan was on the computer reading the oh so awesome Aquabats Bat Cave. when concert bat (I think it was) mentioned a new show on the aquabats tour page. so I go check it out and it reads "The Aquabats, Slow Gherkin & Tsunami Bomb. $12, The El Rey Theater In Hollywood, California. NOTE: if you bring your cadet ID Card you get a FREE t-shirt!" so I got incredibly hyped and told everyone how happy I was. because it's on a weekend and I actually have a chance of going! so all of the month of august I was bumming money from kids at school, doing favors for my mom any way to get money so I can go. Also I was planning with Andy on who/what/were/when and how we where getting there? we finally decided it would be Rachel (my sister), Andy, His Friend Jason & Me splitting gas and food and stuff. then with only 1 week left Jason says he cant go anymore (I forgot why? oh well) then we (Rachel and i) got the A-OK from my mom that Rachel and I could go! it was ALL OFFICIAL! AND I WAS SO READY TO GO! I HAD THE PERFECT AMOUNT OF MONEY! I ALREADY HAD MY MOM EXCUSE ME FROM SCHOOL! AWESOME! I told everyone "I'M GOING TO CALIFORNIA TO SEE THE AQUABATS! YEAH!" then the plan was Thursday, Rachel and I get packed to go, Andy comes over after his concert then he sleeps over so we could leave early the next morning; BUT! NO! I came home from school Thursday, and my sis says in her "I don't care what you say you cant change my mind you suck Ryan voice"...."Ryan! going to California isn't worth $60 to me, and I know you don't care or understand cause your  not special like me and have a job and somewhat of a life! but I'm not going anymore!" ok might I add the whole time she was acting like she was soooo excited to go to California she kept coming up with excuses NOT TO GO! for example "school is more important, I have work on Friday, I'm afraid the California kids wont like me, I don't feel welcome into your group of friends....etc" THEN! SHE FINALLY GETS THE DAY EXCUSED FROM MOM, SHE GETS WORK OFF FRIDAY, ME AND ANDY EXPLAIN TO HER THAT THE CALI KIDS ARE MORE FRIENDLY THEN THE STUPID AZ KIDS AND SHE STILL CANCELS! (you know what I was thinking....DIE DIE DIE! is what I was thinking) how could she do this?! it was for sure! we were going we had the A-OK! so why the heck would she cancel NOW!? so I had to spend all day trying to convince my parents that they could trust Andy, that I would be okay, that it was ok if I went to cali with just me and him and...it didn't happen but I had no way of telling Andy! because he was doing a show with his band the wiggums, and he lives in apache junction (which is like 2 hours away)! so he came over with his bags and stuff we hung out for a little while then my mom came and told him everything. man I felt like crap! and I'm sure he did too. so I said "sorry dude, I know it's a long trip home so you can stay here still if you want." but he said no and went home. he went to California anyways and had a great time.
