SkaPunkMusicMan's Review

Sugarcult - I Didn't really "SEE" them but I herd them and I booed them and I threw stuff at them. Juliana Theory - I Missed them, I was probably looking for water. Alien Ant Farm - they came on right before the distillers so I wanted them off! and everyone else by the distillers stage did too, so we threw everything we had at them and booed the best we could but they still didn't leave until they were scheduled too. DARN! Fear - I don't think they played the bigger stages like they were supposed to. and I didn't care too much so...oh well. Good Charlotte - I Didn't really "SEE" them but I herd them and I booed them and I threw stuff at them. AFI - Lena, Sarah, Briton and I were standing pretty far away from the stage and so we couldn't really jump around and get into them so we decided to leave. I followed Lena and everyone else went different ways. But Lena and I ended up in this 3 person mosh pit that wasn't too violent except for when some guy pushed me and I fell on my butt (it hurt for the rest of the show) then no one tried to help me up! so we left. The Distillers - the distillers did an AWESOME SHOW! I wish that when they opened for rancid they would've done a show this great. they played about 4 new songs and the rest I could sing along too. I didn't do much but help keep the pit going until I found someone I knew that I trusted to hold my "MAN bag" then I went into the mosh pits fro there last 2 songs. I was in there for about 30 seconds and someone tripped me! then I got up and I fell down again, then someone helped me up and I FELL DOWN AGAIN! then I finally got my balance and there was no one left in pit. but as I was walking around everyone was patting me on the back saying stuff like "I'm sorry dude" and "are you ok?" cause man I was hurt! Fenix TX - I don't know what I was doing during them. but I did hear a little bit and they sucked! H20 - they sounded great! but I was so worn out I couldn't see them but my sister did and now she's a fan. Less Than Jake - I felt bad during there show cause they were the second to last band and I was so worn out but I kept trying to skank I had to keep taking breaks every 2 minutes you know? ahh man there was so much skanking and so much fun! it was great. but I was also a little disappointed they didn't throw free stuff into the crowd. Me First And The Gimme Gimmes - I was in a strange part of the crowd during me first. so I left after the 3rd or 4th song but they sounded pretty good. Rancid - we got to the rancid stage right after pennywise left so we could be one of the first people up there but we were still pretty far away from the stage. they played a pretty ok set considering they played nothing from life wont wait and there first self titled. it was really cramped but I eventually found a skank pit (I know during a rancid show?) and I had some fun there but a few minutes before they left  the stage I went and found my sis and we hung out for 311. 311 - they sounded good but all they really played was new stuff. Bouncing Souls - played a good set but there were WAY too many crowd surfers. and it also kind of sucked because it seemed that no one knew any songs by them except "ole!" so the crowd sucked! but the band rocked! Kool Keith - kool Keith is the spankmaster! New Found Glory - I don't know. I didn't see or hear them because I was looking for food and water but you can ask my sister because she saw them and they were the main reason she came. Pennywise - I was watching authority zero during them. The Ataris - they played last and we were all too def and worn out to care about them. The Vandals - played an awesome set I wish they wouldn't of played right before rancid so I could've seen them better. but they sounded great and they played the longest version of "I have a date" I have ever herd Body Jar - who the heck are they? Hank 3 & Assjack - who the heck are they? Home Town Hero - who the heck are they? The Apex Theory - who the heck are they? Thrice - who the heck are they? Bargin Music - who the heck are they? Esham - who the heck are they? Madcap - I didn't know they played other wise I would have tried to see them. Pepper - who the heck are they? The Line - Lena likes them and she wanted to see them but she didn't and I don't know who they are. Tsunami Bomb - they played at the worst time. (dureing rancid) I really wanted to see them but I didn't. Userfriendly - who the heck are they? Wanted Dead - who the heck are they? Authority Zero - Authority Zero played an excellent show everyone was into them. I skanked so much and this time I got a free cd.

Adriane's Review

Alright folks...Warped Tour 2001 was, in my opinion, Shoddily put together. I mean, we can't expect too much from a now over commercialized, over marketed, and trendy exhibition...but come on...The Atari's on the same bill as Rancid? let's face it...warped tour has had it's better years. but...I won't completely denounce the concert. Less Than Jake? awesome. Rancid? Sweaty and perfect. And my greats...The Vandals. aahh Fat Mike. Anywho...$3 for water=Angry, sweaty, moshers...aanndd...what else do i have to add? oh yeah SCREW YOU to the girl that jumped me and started a fight dureing the vandals..sorry i had to embarrass you in front of the boys...chill out next time chika...oh and also SORRY RACHEL that your friends were mosh-wussies...we'll chill next time..Wahoo for punk
